Vote for Lucie McGuire

Every dollar is a vote - and your vote could put Lucie McGuire, Founder/ President of The Traveling Youth and owner of Get Real Social, in the judge’s seat! Lucie is a proud IRSC alumna, multi-passionate entrepreneur, and community advocate whose love for travel began with a study abroad trip through IRSC in 2018 – that trip inspired her to visit 33 countries and 29 states over the past 7 years. In 2020, she founded The Traveling Youth to provide scholarships that send under-served local college/trade students on the same kind of life-changing study abroad experience, many of whom are also Promise Program recipients - making this cause even more meaningful because it directly supports the very students she serves.

Lucie says: “When I was at IRSC, the Promise Program didn’t exist. I had to take a year off because of finances. I know firsthand how vital this kind of support is, and I’m grateful local students have access to this incredible resource. That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to making sure other students don’t face the same barriers I did - to ensure that no matter your financial situation, you still have the chance to access opportunities that can shape your future, such as studying abroad.”
